Backseat Burnouts is a retro, voice proximity-enabled online karting game that allows up to 8 people to race on fast-paced, head-to-head racetracks. Relive the nostalgia of early 2000s couch-based racers, invite your friends, and laugh at their misfortune as you use items to get ahead, distort everyone's voices, and boost your way through the finish line!

Backseat Burnouts is a project created by Watch This Space Studios (Jesse Clarke, Corey Rose & Janak Tracey) as an entrepreneurial capstone project in the team's final year of completing their Bachelor of Games & Interactive Environments degree at QUT.

The music in this game features many synths, VSTs and sound fonts to better suit the game and elevate user experience. Tom Pham is the composer for Backseat Burnouts, and has partnered with Watch This Space Studios to compose music for the level, menu, waiting room, and various original stings/bites.
